The success of Riverside Hospital has a lot to do with volunteers. And the Riverside Auxiliary has been honored with the hospital's highest honor --- Samaritan-of-the-Year.

Riverside CEO Phil Kambic explained the Samaritan award is the Riverside Foundation's highest honor.

The Auxiliary has raised more than $4.5 million over the years.

The award was presented (Thursday evening) at a banquet at the Hilton Garden Inn.
