School Threats Stir Security Measures >

Increased school security is the norm today (Friday) following increased school threats across the country. Some local school administrators have joined districts around the nation in announcing plans to increase security.

It’s in response to TikTok posts warning of shooting and bomb threats at schools around the country. The Associated Press reports, officials have assured parents the viral posts were not considered credible.  The vague, anonymous posts circulating on the social media app warned that multiple schools would receive shooting and bomb threats. No particular schools are named; the social media posts appear to be a general warning.

Frustration again, surfaces with some parents upset that social media takes precedence over main-street media “when it comes to what’s news and what’s messed up people spouting off” and yet getting the news coverage.
