Some 85+ emergency and school officials are training today (Wednesday) for proper protocol procedures when it comes to in-school emergencies.
The training is at Kankakee Community College (KCC). The Regional Offi9ce of Education for Kankakee – Iroquois Counties is coordinating the training along with the Kankakee County Sheriff’s Department. Regional School Superintendent Frank PeKunus says it a nationwide effort to get all concerned to use the same language – when an emergency arises……….
Pekunas told the Kankakee County Board Executive Committee having everyone involved speaking the same language will end confusion.
