Schools, community rally in support of Cissna Park following tragedy

Community support for Cissna Park shows today (Tuesday) as school students and others wear the Timberwolves colors – in support for the tragic loss of a student over the weekend.The Student Body at several districts ask everyone to wear the Cissna Park Light/Dark Blue apparel.

The Cissna Park school district and community suffered a blow Saturday when 17-year-old Senior Colson Carley died in a traffic crash. School students from Iroquois, Ford, Livingston and Vermilions Counties are showing support and extending prayers.

Grief counselors and clergy are offering talk-time to students and faculty as they cope.

Iroquois County’s High School Golf Tournament was postponed Monday. It’s now scheduled for October 9th at Shewami Country Club. Colson Carley was a member of the Cissna Park Gold Team.

Milford, GCMS, Watseka, Prairie Central, PBL are among the area districts electing to wear the Cissna Park ‘Blue” to show support.
