A 2-vehicle crash in Newton County (Tuesday) killed the driver of a scooter. The scooter and a passenger car collided at the intersection of CR400E and CR 900N. Sheriff’s Police report the site is at Roselawn, about a mile south of State Road 10 in Lincoln Township.

Witnesses told police the scooter was eastbound on CR 900N and failed to stop and yield to the northbound passenger car. The crash killed a 61 year old Lake Village, IN man.

The driver of the other vehicle, 33 year old Fair Oaks, IN woman refused medical treatment at the scene.

Names of the drivers were being withheld pending family notification.

Newton County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Indiana State Police, Newton County EMS, Lincoln Township Fire and the Newton County Coroner’s Office.
