Second arrest made in double-homicide in Vermilion County

A Kankakee man is jailed on a $10-million bond for his alleged part in a double homicide near Danville last month. 21-year-old Darryl Jordan was arrested on a warrant.  He's charged with several counts of murder and aggravated battery with a firearm.  Vermilion County Sheriff's Police also reported the earlier arrest of 23-year-old Gregory Burns for the September 18th at Blue Bird's Liquor store, just outside Danville.   

 The Vermilion County Sheriff’s Department has announced the arrest of a second suspect in connection with the double homicide.  Deputies responded to the store just before 2 am that day.  Four individuals suffered gunshot wounds.  Twenty-year-old Leslie E Fisher, Jr and 21-year-old Charles L. Jones, Jr died from their injuries.  Two others survived their wounds. 

Earlier, police arrested 23-year-old Gregory Burns.  Jordan and Burns are both being held in the Vermilion County Jail.  Both men have $10-million bonds.
