Second teen sentenced for Halloween bank prank

A Piper City teen has been sentenced to probation for the Halloween bank prank in the Village of Roberts. 19-year-old Ryan Redmon, was sentenced to three years probation by Ford County Judge Steve Pacey.

Redmon is the second teen sentenced for the incident, in which two teens entered the bank wearing disguises and pointing BB guns at people.

Redmon pleaded guilty in January to one count of attempted aggravated robbery, a Class 3 felony.

State’s Attorney Matt Fitton asked the court for a five-year prison term.

Redmon’s accomplice, 18-year-old Damon Lee of Piper City, received a 30-month probation sentence on Dec. 18 after pleading guilty to the same charge.
