38th District State Senator Sue Rezin believes ideas proposed in Gov. Pritzker’s budget address, like the legalization of recreational marijuana, could be fast tracked through the legislature due to the Democratic majority.

“Not sure the votes are there, but a workable mechanism must be in place to determine if drivers are under the influence,” Rezin said.

Although there has been major push both state and nationwide to legalize recreational marijuana, Rezin has some concerns regarding impaired driving. She’s on record not in support.
