Afternoon temps today (Monday) are expected at 89 degrees, witha  heat index near 97.  Party sunny but showers and thunderstorms are likelyt after 5 pm.  Some of the T-storms could be severe, according to the NWS.  Rainfall could total a half-inch or more.

More T-storms are possible overnight with rainfall nearing another inch or so.  Temps will be around 80 Tuesday and Wednesday.
