Sheldon man arrested after police pursuit

An attempted traffic stop Saturday led to a police pursuit and the arrest of a Sheldon motorist.  Iroquois County Sheriff deputies attempted the stop of a vehicle driven by 38-year-old Phillip Franklin for speeding.  Police report Franklin refused to stop and fled.  He eventually stopped in the Village of Iroquois near Lincoln and U.S. Highway 52.  Charges against Franklin include aggravated fleeing and eluding and speeding well over the posted speed limit.  

On another matter, 43-year-old Jesse McGehee of Gilman turned himself in at the County Jail to begin serving 30 days for driving while his license was revoked.

Sunday, Iroquois County Sheriff deputies arrested 35-year-old Anthony Bolian-Brow of Danville.  He was being held in Vermilion County on an Iroquois County warrant for driving with a revoked license. Bolian-Brow was returned to Iroquois County for a court appearance.
