A 28-year-old man was shot to death Tuesday night in Champaign.  The victim hasn't been identified and no arrest has been made.  Police report thew man was shot in the chest and died a short time later at a local hospital.  

Champaign Police report the man was driving a car thru a business parking lot on N. Neil Street about 7:45 pm when a nother vehicle turned into the lot and fired a gun at the victim.  Police said the victim drove west on Edegbrook Drive before losing consciousness and veering off the road.  

Kankakee County homicide investigated --

Authorities are investigating the shooting death of a Momence woman, Kankakee County’s 10th homicide of 2021. The County Coroner’s Office reports 57-year-old Delfina Alvarado was pronounced dead at 12:38 a.m. Tuesday in her home. Police were called to the residence in the 400 block of Hill Street in Momence. The victim suffered multiple gunshot wounds.
