A shooting outside of Loves Truck Stop in Dwight is under investigation.  The Dwight Police Department reported an altercation between two individuals just before 3 am Thursday resulted in one person shot in the leg.  That person was taken to Morris community Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Investigators say they are reviewing surveillance video of the incident.

The Dwight Police Department was assisted by the Grundy and Livingston County Sheriff’s Offices, Illinois State Police and Grundy County State’s Attorney’s Office.
