Two suspects are in custody after a shooting Tuesday evening outside the Louis Joliet Mall. Gunfire was exchanged between U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration agents and the suspects who were under investigation.
Police reported no officers or civilians were injured in the shooting. One of the suspects, 31-year-old Adan Godinez of Morris, was struck in the leg. He was taken to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Another individual, 43-year-old Fernando Godinez of Cicero was arrested and taken into custody.
A witness reported between 20 and 30 shots were fired during the shootout.
