The Newton County Sheriff’s Office in Indiana is investigating a report of shots fired Monday. It was around 11 am when a motorist near 400S Road (old Indiana Route 114) and 600W Road reported a newer red pickup, occupied by two black males pulled up behind him.

The motorist said the occupants in the pickup waved at hime trying to get him to pull over. A black handgun was displayed. The motorist accelerated to flee; shots were fired from the pickup striking the motorist's vehicle three times. No injuries were reported.
