Six Sam's Club locations in Chicagoland are among the dozens closing around the country. Walmart announced yesterday that it was shutting down over 60 stores, leaving thousands of workers out of a job. The closures include stores in Batavia, Matteson, Naperville, Romeoville, Streamwood and Wheeling. The big-box retailer said the closures are part of an effort to better align its locations with its strategy.
