Slippery road conditions and ponding on area routes is enough to lead to more school closings and other delays today (Wednesday).  The melting snow finds several roads posted to make drivers aware of ponding water.  Changing road conditions could pose a challenge as temps drop to near 23 by 5 pm.

Rainfall amounts are over an inch in many communities; 1.10 at the WGFA Studio.

Central Unit #4 at Clifton and Kankakee Trinity Academy are among the school closings today.  Manteno, Momence, St. George, and St. Anne High and Grade Schools are closed due to weather conditions.

The Central District Library at Clifton also closed.
