Smoky in Illinois

Smoke and hazy skies are expected to linger in Illinois into the weekend from Canadian wildfires. The province of Manitoba has declared a state of emergency over a series of wildfires. Northern Illinois will be most impacted by the smoke. Officials said conditions won’t be as bad as in 2023 when much of Illinois and North America dealt with dangerous smoke for weeks.

Late showers and maybe T-storms this afternoon are possible.  A warm-up from now into next week.  High near 87 on Monday.
