This (Monday) morning’s snowy roads, along with bitter cold ahead and some continuing road work is posing hazardous travel conditions. Drivers are advised to slow down, pay attention and be aware of changing road conditions. The snow-covered routes and freezing conditions have led to slide-offs. Area police agencies are responding to accidents. After today’s 32-degree expected high, overnight temps will hit seven degrees and a wind-chill at -5. The next 2-3 days will find temps only reaching the low teens.
Schools in Indiana closed today. (Benton, S. Newton and Renssa laer). Others were on a delay status. A Winter Weather Advisory is in place thru about Noon.
