Snow snarls roads, cancels and delays school

Snowfall ranged from about 2.5 to six inches throughout east-central Illinois and northwest Indiana.  A Winter Weather Advisory was in place this morning with anotgher couple inches possible in some areas. Snowcovered roadways led to school delays and cancellations in both Illinois and Indiana. Drivers were urged to allow some extra time.  There were no reports of any serious accidents, but state police did investigate a two-vehicle colission that slowed traffic on I-57 north of I-72 near Champaign this morning.

Dropping temps will find readings around 15 by 5 pm today.
