Several traffic accidents have been reported in the Kankakee area and to the north this morning. Light to moderate snow has been reported.  Some routes were posing slick conditions. Highway crews were reporting the snow, coupled with re-freezing from the earlier snowfall and freezing rain, was leading to several slide-offs.

Motorists are advised to be aware of changing road conditions.  The snowfall is expected to end by mid-morning to around noon.  Then, gradulay clearing with dropping temperatures.
