The Ford-Iroquois Public Health Department board meets today (Monday) in special session. The 7 pm meeting has a different location. The meeting will be held at the Administrative Center in Watseka.
A scheduling conflict at the Gilman-Danforth Library forced the meeting to find an alternative location.
The meeting agenda is likely to find members discussing the advantages and drawbacks of dissolving the two-county health agency.
The meeting is open to the public.
A committee comprising members of the Ford and Iroquois county boards agreed in September to send a recommendation to both county boards, plus the bi-county board of health, to look into the advantages and drawbacks of dissolving the health department. Action to dissolve the agency could take place in November.
