St. Anne Pumpkin Fest still breathing

A committee may be organizing to keep the popular St. Anne Pumpkin Fest alive. A meeting Monday evening had group stepping up to take over after longtime organizers, Bob Hubert and Barb Deneau, announced they’d be stepping aside. Hubert said he’d like to see a younger group get involved.

Most residents want to keep the 30-year-old event going.

Papineau resident Savannah Blake has emerged as that person who wants to spearhead the effort. She told the Village Board she hopes to lead a group of volunteers.
St. Anne Mayor Dave O’Connell reports the 2019 event will remain on the calendar for September 21-22.
