In the neighborhood of 10-12 fire departments provided water supplies (Friday) at a huge structure fire near Legion Park in Watseka. The State Fire Marshall was on the scene.
Kenny Kingdon’s house was gutted by flames, just off the Belmont Avenue curve on the north side of County Farm Road.
Mutual aid was called immediately to the Woodland Fire Protection District. Woodland Fire Chief Bill Tucker tells WGFA-WIBK News THE FLAMES MOVED QUICKLY........
A house to the east also sustained smoke damage. One firefighter may have suffered exhaustion.
Water supply was the big issue. Chief Tucker said the extra manpower was critical.
