State Police report weekend DUI arrests

                                              District 21 Weekend Arrests

ASHKUM, IL- Illinois State Police (ISP) District 21 is reporting the arrest of: Antoine L. Crockett, 38, of Kankakee; Nathan C. Brantley, 53, of Kankakee; and Eli J. Welch, 27, of Kankakee all for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol.

An Illinois State Trooper was on patrol in Kankakee County Sunday morning observed a vehicle speeding and crossing the center line. The driver, Antoine Crockett, failed a Field Sobriety Test. Crockett was placed under arrest for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol. He was also issued a citation for speeding, improper lane usage, failure to wear seatbelt, and illegal transportation of alcohol.

Also on Sunday morning, a Trooper observed a vehicle cross the center line multiple times. The trooper stopped the vehicle and the driver, Nathan Brantley, admitted to drinking and then failed a Standardized Field Sobriety Test. Brantley was arrested for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol and also cited for improper lane usage.

Eli Welch was also arrested for DUI after a traffic stop for speeding in Kankakee County. The trooper had Welch perform the Standardized Field Sobriety Tests which he failed.
