STATE REP. LISA DUGAN NAMED LEGISLATOR OF THE YEAR BY ILLINOIS STATE AMBULANCE ASSOCIATION

SPRINGFIELD, IL– As recognition for her years of support and advocacy, State Rep. Lisa Dugan (D-Bradley) was named legislator of the year by the Illinois State Ambulance Association during a luncheon in Springfield on Wednesday

“Emergency Medical Service (EMS) providers are an invaluable resource to our communities,” said Dugan. “I have proudly worked with my colleagues to find better ways to support and enhance the services they provide across the state and especially in rural communities. I am honored to be recognized with this award.”

Dugan received the award from Illinois State Ambulance Association (ISAA) for her ongoing support and dedication to EMS providers and the industry.

Last year, Dugan sponsored legislation creating the House Task Force on EMS funding to find ways that the General Assembly and the State could make its emergency medical services work more efficiently.  The committee held hearings around the state to solicit information and advice from EMS personnel and constituents on issues facing their communities related to emergency service needs.

“State Representative Dugan has been a great advocate for our industry and we sincerely appreciate her dedication and support,” said Kim Godden, ISAA Board Member.
