Kankakee County’s looking to save upwards of $140,000 a year by moving the state’s attorney’s office back to courthouse. And – that proposal appears more likely.

The County Board’s finance committee is approving the move. Board Chairman Andy Wheeler explains the current location on N. Schuyler Avenue has added to costs.

The move is expected to be approved at next month’s meeting.
