Stock+Field stores renamed R.P. Home & Harvest

R.P. Lumber Co. Inc. announced this week that all 22 Stock + Field locations it acquired through the bankruptcy process last spring, including stores in Watseka, Gibson City, Pontiac and Morris, have been rebranded with a new name — R.P. Home & Harvest.

The rebranding of each store’s interior and exterior began Tuesday, September 7, and is expected to be completed within 30 days. Online rebranding also is under way.

“Our customers played a key role in renaming our stores,” said Robert Plummer, chairman and chief executive officer of Edwardsville-based R.P. Lumber Co. Inc. “We received over 2,500 suggestions via our website and social media pages and took each one into consideration.”

The 22 stores — located in Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Michigan and Wisconsin — were known as Big R stores from 1964 until they were acquired in 2018 and renamed Stock + Field. Early this year, Stock + Field entered bankruptcy and liquidation, and the stores were acquired by R.P. Lumber Co. Inc.
