The Kankakee County grand jury has indicted Keon Stokes for 2-counts of first-degree murder for the beating death of his young son.

The charge against the Kankakee man was upgraded from aggravated battery after an autopsy and toxicology report was returned. The State’s Attorney’s office claims the 18-month-old child was beaten to death in April.
