The Iroquois County Courthouse in Watseka is closed today (Friday 6/12). Upper windows on the Courthouse building were blown out during the storm Thursday. Emergency agencies throughout the County have reported power outages and other weather related damage, includig the Courthouse, according to Sheriff Clint Perzee. Plans are to have the Courthouse re-open with regular hours Monday, Junbe 15.
Iroquois County Emergency Management Agency (EMA) reports a lot of tree damage and power outages, affecting several communities. A bus barn in Danforth was leveled. NWS damage assessment tems will be surveug damage in the days ahead. No injuries have been reported.
