The interior of a home in the Timberlawn Sub-division near Ashkum was destroyed in a Sunday fire. No injury was reported. No one was home at 210 S. Henry when flames were seen coming from the soffit area. Heat and smoke damage was reported, according to Ashkum Fire Chief Jeff Glenn.

The fire may have originated from the furnace or water heater. The State Fire Marshall is investigating. Danforth and Crescent City Fire provided mutual aide.
