A Danville fire Wednesday morning may result in damages over $1 million dollars. A storage trailer at the SYGMA Networks Distribution Center on Southgate Drive caught fire, causing damage to the rear of the building.
Public Safety Director Larry Thomason said there is heavy smoke and water damage in the warehouse when the sprinkler system was triggered.
There were no reports of any injuries. Danville Fire officials reported preliminary estimates are that overall damages may exceed one-million dollars. Damage estimates to the storage trailer and rear of the building were placed at $50-thousand dollars apiece. It is inside the building where fire officials say damages may exceed one-million dollars because of smoke and water damage.
The SYGMA Network is a wholesale food distribution company that delivers food products to restaurants and other locations across the Midwest.
