Teen accused of stealing vehicles in Cissna Park

A 17-year-old male subject is facing felony charges after he allegedly stole two vehiciles over the weekend. Iroquois County Sheriff deputies were called to Cissna Park early Sunday morning.  A stolen vehicle was reported on Martin Avenue.  Then, police received word about a second vehicle stolen from S. 4th Street.  During a search for suspects, police learned of a youth running into a home to hide. Witnesses provided a description of a suspect who was located and taken into custody.  Both stolen vehilces were returned to the owners.

The 17-year-old syspect is charged with 3-counts of burglary tom a motor vehicle, 2-counts of possession of a stolen vehicle, felony criminal damage to property, and 2-counts of felony theft.
