Residents in the Benton and Warren County areas in Indiana have had water restored in many homes, but residents wonder how long it will last. Water wells went dry last month.
Many say it was an irrigation system that drained the supply.
DNR officials confirmed that a farmer's nearby irrigation system caused the Templeton town wells to dry up. Now, 21 days later, some residents said when one well is up and running another runs dry. The concerned residents said the water level is dropping and the efforts to fix the wells may be for nothing.
What happened to their small community, citizens say, hopefully will influence a new state law.
