Theatre used as COVID-19 vaccination site

The Fischer Theatre in Danville was put to use as a COVID vaccination clinic (Thursday). A few more clinics will be held there in the next few weeks. The Vermilion County Health Department staff had help directing the program. Up to 600 people will be vaccinated at a given-time at each clinic.

The Fischer Theatre is a landmark in the downtown area; once an acting platform for Danville-native actors Dick Van Dyke and Gene Hackman.

Future COVID clinics are planned for February 18 and 25.
