Kankakee Fire answered calls to three structure fires Sunday evening, one left a man severely burned.  A call to Fraser Avenue about 10:30 pm was a single family residence in the 200-block where firemen found heavy fire.  A male subject was believed to be the lone occupant.  He was burned and taken to a burn unit in the Chicago area.  Three others were displaced.  The fire did about $100,000 damage.   The cause is under investigation, but appeared to be accidental.

An earlier fire call to W. Merchant for a 2-story structure with multiple units.  The fire climbed from the first floor to a second floor and then the attic area.  No injury was reported.  The cause was questioned.

A third small fire  on S. 7th Street around 9 pm resulted in minor damage.
