An engineering group is scheduled to deliver a report about a flood study and work plan in moving forward to deal with flooding in Iroquois County.
A Town Hall Meeting is planned for February 13 in Watseka. The 6 pm meeting is at the Trinity Church on E. Walnut Street. The Christopher Burke Engineering Group will present its report of a study and work plan for the Iroquois River. Iroquois And Kankakee County officials have been active members of a group working with Indiana officials to find solutions in dealing with the flooding.
Iroquois County Board Chairman John Shure said the Town Hall meeting will also include a question and answer session about establishing the Iroquois County River Conservancy District through a voter referendum. The referendum question appears on the March 17 ballot.
