UPDATE:  IDOT pushing RR Improvement Project ahead to June 23

An earlier announced railroad improvement project at Crescent City is now postpomed until June 23rd.  The Illinois 49 closing at the TP&W Railroad crossing in Crescent City is a no-go on June 2.

The Illinois Department of Transportation Office in Ottawa announced (Wednesday) that Illinois 49 at the TP&W Railroad crossing in Crescent City will be delayed until June 23rd.  The work was to begin June 2nd.  The work is anticipated to be completed within a week.  Once started, a posted detour will direct traffic to use U.S. 24 and U.S. 45.
