Trip to Cubs game proves costly to Armstrong driver

A drive home from a Chicago Cubs game didn't go well for an Armstrong man. 46-year-old Philip Davis was southbound on I-57 at Danforth when he hit the center median cables. State police responded to the crash (Sunday). Davis told police he fell asleep.

He failed a field sobriety test and was arrested for DUI, failure to reduce speed, improper lane usage and for having no insusrance.

Ashkum Fire and Riverside EMS assisted.

An earlier DUI arrest and a revoked driver's license isn't going to help the cause when you make an improper turn. 52-year-old Kevin Richardson of Bradley did just that at Entrance and Brookmont Blvd in Kankakee at 12:30 in the morning. A state trooper saw the improper turn. And Richardson failed a field sobriety test.
