Sherriff’s Police in Newton County report three bodies were found in the Newton County Sumava Resorts area Sunday evening.

The bodies of two adult males and one adult female were discovered by a deputy. It was about 8 pm when the sheriff’s department and Newton County EMS responded to a call for “a man bleeding” at 11422 N and 250 W.

The names of the victims are being withheld until next of kin can be notified.

Indiana State Police crime scene techs were also at the scene.

Newton County coroner Scott McCord said the three suffered “trauma” but a cause of death will be unavailable until autopsies are performed later today in Tippecanoe County.
