A Will County grand jury has brought reckless homicide charges against the Indiana trucker involved in the I-55 crash that killed five people last month near Elwood.

Francisco Quiroz of Leesburg, Indiana, is charged with speeding through a construction zone and crashing into three stopped vehicles, killing three adults and an eleven-year-old girl on the spot. A fourth adult died later.

Quiroz is also accused of driving a commercial vehicle despite a complete lack of vision in his right eye. He remains in custody.
