A man is in custody following the death of two children who were pulled from the Kankakee River in Northwest, Indiana. Authorities say the incident happened yesterday in the LaSalle Fish and Wildlife Area, near the Lake and Newton County line. One of the kids who died was identified as four-year-old Levi Patillo. Eric Patillo is being held on two counts of neglect.

Lake County Sheriff's Police and the Department of Natural Resources are involved with the investigation.
