A Tuesday evening crash in Kankakee County left two people dead. It happened at the intersection of Routes 1 and 17 --- east of Kankakee. Emergency responders, including the Illinois State Police and the County Coroner, were at the scene around 6 pm.

72-year-old Karen Sutfin of Watseka was one of the individuals killed. A 27-year-old Kankakee man, Prince Trowell, also died in the crash. Both were pronounced dead at the scene. Details about the crash are not yet available.
