The Livingston County Coroner’s Office has identified a man from Forrest (IL) as the victim of that gruesome car crash earlier this week. Michael Brauman died in the crash overnight Sunday. His car was found impaled on a guard rail north of Chatsworth.

Coroner Danny Watson reported a passerby came across a burned out car about 10 am Monday. The discovery was made at 3225 East and 1000 North Road. The Coroner said the driver was burned beyond recognition.

DNA and dental records were used to identify the driver.
