Vermilion County Coroner Peggy Johnson identified the victim in Thursday's fatal shooting as 19-year-old Shannon Brown. The results of the autopsy revealed the Danville man was shot multiple times.

The investigation into the shooting is ongoing. The gunman has not been arrested. Anyone with information is asked to contact Danville investigators or call Vermilion County CrimeStoppers at 217-446-TIPS.

Police said Brown was fatally shot about 2 pm Thursday in southeast Danville.

Police reported Brown was among several people gathered on the front porch of a house when a man approached on foot, fired multiple shots. No one else was injured.

The victim was pronounced dead at a local hospital. The shooter fled the scene on foot.
