UPDATE: Potomac woman dies in crash in Iroquois County

                                       Victim was former Hoopeston resident

The Champaign County Coroner's office has identified a Potomac woman who died of injuries she sustained in a single-vehicle accident Wednesday in Iroquois County.

29-year-old Sarah Heffelfinger-Taylor was pronounced dead just past 4 pm at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana. Champaign County Coroner Duane Northrup released the information.

Iroquois County sheriff's police reported Heffelfinger-Taylor was westbound on Iroquois County Road 500 North, east of Illinois 1, in Prairie Green Township. It was around 12 noon when her vehicle left the road, hitting a railroad embankment and went airborne before landing on the west side of the railroad property.

The Wellington-Greer Fire Department, Milford Fire Department and Hoopeston Area EMS also responded to the accident.
