WATSEKA — A Rensselaer, Indiana man was killed in a two-vehicle crash Tuesday on Route 24 east of Watseka. The un-identified 67-year-old driver of a westbound passenger car crossed into the eastbound lane, hitting a U-Haul truck.

Illinois State Police reported the 48-year-old driver of the U-Haul and his 73-year-old female passenger, both of Walkerton, IN, were taken to Iroquois Memorial Hospital.

The Iroquois County Coroner pronounced the victim dead at the scene.

The crash happened at 2700 E Road at 1:11 pm. Route 24 was shut down for about 3.5 hours.
