UPDATE: Two Kentland residents die in I-65 crash

The White County Coroner's Office in Indiana now identifies two Kentland (IN) residents who died in a multi-vehicle crash Friday on I-65.  The victims include 33-year-old Dayna Beck and 30-year-old Nathan Fields.  Both were pronounced dead at the scene.  Beck was the driver of an SUV hit by a Greyhound bus.

Reported earlier --- A Greyhound bus and SUV were involved in the White County, IN crash.  Indiana State Police responded along with several other emergency units.  70-year-old Joseph Utley of Valparaiso, IN, was southbound in the left lane when for an unknown reason, the vehicle went into the right lane and sideswiped the victim's SUV Tahoe. Utley's car went into the ditch on the west side of the southbound lanes. The driver of the Tahoe (Dayna Beck) lost control, traveled across the median, and into the northbound lanes.

State Police reported at the same time, a Greyhound bus, driven by 65-year-old James Jones of Chicago was northbound in the left lane. The Greyhound bus collided with the Tahoe on the passenger side. Both of those vehicles came to rest in the ditch on the east side of the northbound lanes.  Multiple passengers from the Greyhound bus were transported to several nearby hospitals with non-life-threating injuries. One passenger from the Greyhound bus was transported to a hospital in Indianapolis by St. Vincent StatFlight helicopter. There were approximately 50 people involved in the accident. Joseph Utley was uninjured, and James Jones was transported to a Lafayette area hospital with non-life-threating injures.
