The Watseka Fire Department responded to a fire at a vacant house on North 2nd Street early Saturday morning. A resident from across the street noticed the fire and called the fire department to report it. When firefighters arrived just before 6:30am to the house at 520 North 2nd Street, they found it to be fully involved in flames.

There were no injuries reported but the house was ruled to be a complete loss. Crescent City and Riverside Ambulance also assisted on the scene. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
