A young Westville woman is the new queen at the Vermilion County Fair. Cassidy Parker was crowned last (Wed) evening. She was chosen among nine candidates who were vying for the title. Cassidy is the daughter of Dave and Lori Parker.

The fair continues today (Thursday), running through Sunday at the fairgrounds, just off U.S. Route 50, west of Danville.

In the queen pageant ---1st runner-up is Alexis Nichols of Danville. She is the daughter of Darryl and Laura Nichols. 2nd runner-up is Jenna Toms of Bismarck, the daughter of Jeff and Melanie Toms.
