The death of two people whose bodies were found near a vacant home east of Hillery, in rural Danville, is under investigation.

Sheriff Pat Hartshorn said a 911 call came in around 8 am. A contractor came across two dead bodies lying on the property.

Hartshorn said the bodies of a male and female were lying near a tree line along the northern edge of the property.
Illinois State Police Crime Scene Investigators were on the scene.

Hillery is a quiet area just a few miles west of Danville, north of U.S. 150.
